My story
Collect&Geek was born from a simple observation. As a collector, I couldn't find anywhere that truly matched our culture. Chaotic Facebook groups, makeshift Excel spreadsheets, generic platforms that ignore us. I decided to build what didn't exist.
Give every collection a real showcase
French-speaking geek collectors deserve better. Better than the chaos of Facebook groups. Better than Vinted, built for clothes, not for our Funko Pops or collector's editions. Collect&Geek brings together in one place everything a passionate collector needs: organize their collection, share it with people who get it, and let pieces circulate.
« We don't collect to fill shelves. We collect to share a passion. »
I designed every detail of the interface for our culture, not alongside it. That geek sensibility shows up everywhere, including in Geeky, the robot mascot who accompanies you throughout the app.
The 5 pillars of Collect&Geek
Every line of code I write and every feature I add follows a clear purpose.
Your collection deserves to be presented with care. I imagined an ultra-visual space where each item has its own profile, with your photos, your notes, and its context. It's your personal digital museum.
Here, you share with people who truly understand. The social feed connects you with the collectors you follow and surfaces new additions from the community. No noise, no ads, just enthusiasts.
Find the rare gem or give your items a second life. Transactions happen directly between collectors, through an integrated messaging system. Far from the noise of generalist platforms.
A database built by the community. Every figure, game, manga, or card has its entry. Collective knowledge so you stop searching everywhere for what your peers already know.
Our collections have value. Not just monetary. I build Collect&Geek with one constant priority: authentic profiles, a kind community, and peaceful exchanges.
From idea to reality
Collect&Geek was built step by step, shaped by community feedback.
Social networks don't understand collectors. Vinted is built for clothes, not limited editions. I can't find anything that truly fits us. I decide to build it.
After months of solo development, the first version goes live: the personal showcase and the social feed. The first testers arrive. Their feedback shapes every iteration.
The app grows richer: dedicated messaging, collaborative Geek Wiki, gamification. Collect&Geek officially launches on the App Store and Google Play. The adventure becomes real.
The platform is live, the community is growing. My energy goes entirely to two things: introducing Collect&Geek to collectors who haven't found it yet, and continuing to improve every detail of the experience.
The founder
A passionate collector behind every line of code.
A collector at heart, a developer in the blood. Collect&Geek is not the project of a startup or a corporation. It's my passion project, built alone, for a community I know from the inside.
